Municipality of Sasso Marconi
With the municipality of Sasso Marconi e-qo has reached an agreement that allows the NGO to give roots to its activities and to experience the format of good practices.
Sasso Marconi has about 15,000 inhabitants and is part of Bologna province. It has received the certificate of Virtuous Municipality as well as the certificate of 100% Green Energy for the use of energy from renewable sources for public lighting and buildings.
For 4 consecutive years (2011-2014) the Municipality of Sasso Marconi has only used electricity from renewable sources for a total of 3,466,076 kWh, avoiding the emission into the environment of 1684.74 tons of CO2.
The municipality of Sasso Marconi is also co- founder with Last Minute Market of Sprecozero.net, an association of local authorities aimed at sharing, promoting and disseminating best initiatives aimed at reducing waste.
